Randi Kay Mashburn (Searcy)

Randi Mashburn, 63, of Independence, MO passed away May 6, 2019 with her devoted family by her side. Visitation will be Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Carson-Speaks Funeral Home 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052. Funeral Services will be 10 am Friday at the funeral home. Randi will be laid to rest in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Randi was born on May 2, 1956 in Kansas City, MO to E. Wayne and Marilyn (Boswell) Searcy. She was a graduate of Truman High School. On November 15, 1974 Randi married the love of her life, Dan Mashburn. For over 38 years she was employed by Sears. Randi had a green thumb and loved gardening and being out in the yard. She was a vocal cheerleader for the KC Royals and the KC Chiefs. Perhaps her greatest passion was that of grandmother. She relished any time that she spent with her grandson Logan. Survivors include: loving husband of over 44 years, Dan Mashburn, son Steven Mashburn and his wife Katie; grandson Logan Mashburn; mother Marilyn Searcy; sister Ruth Ricciardi; brothers Bill and Wayne Searcy; several nieces and nephews; a large extended family and many friends. Randi is preceded in death by her father E. Wayne Searcy and a sister Nita Searcy.
