Max Edward Rowe, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024, in Independence, Missouri. He was born on September 4, 1935, in Carthage, Missouri.

Max led a fulfilling life centered around his family and his work. After graduating from Carthage High School in Carthage, Missouri, he enlisted to serve in the Army National Guard. His commitment to protecting and serving his country reflected his unwavering patriotism and sense of duty. During this time, he met and married the love of his life, Willie Mae. 

Max retired as a computer operator for United Missouri Bank, where he worked for several years. With dedication and expertise, he contributed significantly to the banking industry throughout his years of service. Simultaneously, Max owned and operated Rowe’s Janitorial Service. Even after his retirement, he continued managing the operations at his business. A man of faith, Max was an active member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church. He served as a deacon and found solace in his spiritual journey alongside his church community. After Blue Ridge Baptist’s close, he joined the community of Coventry Estates Church. Max's commitment to his faith showed through his kindness and compassion towards others. Max was equally passionate about his role as a loving father. His devotion to his children knew no bounds. He treasured every moment spent with them and created countless cherished memories, especially in their younger years. Whether it was summers at the family farm in Carthage or engaging in lively snowball fights during winter days at home, Max embraced the joy of parenthood and relished being an integral part of his children's lives.

Surrounded by the love of his family until the end, Max Edward Rowe leaves behind cherished memories that will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his parents; Barney and Gladys (Skelton) Rowe, and his siblings; Earl Rowe and Louise Baum. He is survived by his beloved wife; Willie Mae Rowe, his children; Terry Rowe, Allen Rowe, and Tammy Rowe, his son-in-law; Keith Greer, his grandchildren; Curtis Greer and Jeremy John "JJ" Greer, his siblings; Marion Rowe and Lorene Myers, and his sister-in-law; Mary Ann McCracken.

A visitation and viewing will be held to honor Max's life at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri, on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm. A memorial service will take place following cremation at Coventry Estates Baptist Church in Independence, Missouri on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10am.
