Barbara Ann Maxwell, 83, of Wheatland, Missouri, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on May 23, 2014 while surrounded by loved ones. A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29th at Carson Speaks Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 30th at the chapel. Burial will be at Floral Hills, Kansas City, MO.
Barbara was born on May 6, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri to Alton Roy and Grace Ellen Logan. She attended East High School and the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She married the love of her life Jack Maxwell on June 28, 1968. After her retiring from Moore, Inc., she and her husband moved to Pomme de Terre Lake where they had been weekenders for years. Barbara was a member of the Pomme de Terre United Methodist Church, Hermitage Chapter #99 Past Worthy Matron and Past Ditrict Deputy Matron, Life member of VFW Auxiliary and Past District 14 President.
Barbara is survived by her two loving grandchildren; grandson, Daniel R Savage and wife, Mirella of Newport News, VA and their children, Marcus, Amelia and Connor; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Pace and husband, Michael of Raymore, MO and their children, Cecilia and Braiden. She is also survived by her sister, Wanda Lea Warrior and her daughters, Kris, Kevin and Kim of the Seattle, WA area. She was preceded in death by her children; son, Vaughn Tackett and daughter, Marilyn Markley, and her adoring husband of nearly 45 years, Jack Maxwell, who passed away on February 22, 2013.
