William "Calvin" May

William “Calvin” May 78 of Blue Springs, MO, passed away on October 2, 2020. Calvin was born on March 17, 1942 in Camp, Arkansas, to Fred and Cora May. He graduated from Mammoth Springs High School in the class of 1960. He then went on to marry Vaunda R. Snider on August 21, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri. Calvin worked for Builder’s Steel Company for 44 years as a layout man. There, he proudly taught many Bible studies at work while on lunch break. He loved to teach people the truth of God’s word. Calvin had a Christ-like spirit, and he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Vaunda R. May. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Albert May and Cora Bell May.

A visitation will be held from 12-1:00pm on Thursday, October 8, with a service following at 1:00pm, both at The Life Church on 10400 View High Dr. in Kansas City, MO. He will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas, City, MO.
