Lucille Mayberry

Lucille Mayberry, 94 of Independence, MO passed away Wed. Jan 7, 2004 at Monterey Park Care Center. Services will be 1:00 pm, Saturday at the Speaks Midtown Chapel, 1101 West Walnut, Indep. MO. Burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association. Mrs. Mayberry was born on Dec. 28, 1909 to Wilson and Margaret Dobie in Weir, KS and has lived in this area since 1928. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband Everett Mayberry, her parents and two sisters. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Black of Grain Valley, MO. One brother, Wilson Dobie of Girard, KS. Three sisters, Mae Dobie of Girard, KS, Wilma Thorne of Independence, MO and Jeanette Ford of Girard, KS. Three grandchildren, Damon Black, Robert Black and Jonathon Black. Two great grandchildren, Dylan and Noah Black.
