Eleanor Zoa Jean (Savage) Mays, 78, Independence, Mo, died Sept. 24, 2004. She was born Jan. 12, 1926, and lived most of her life in Independence. She married Clarence G. Mays in 1952 and they settled in Sugar Creek. Eleanor and Clarence were members of the Sugar Creek R.L.D.S. Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in Oct., 1985; her parents, Walter and Grace Savage; two sisters, Edith Savage and Wanda Holland; and brother, Forrest Savage. She is survived by two sisters, Mildred Gillespie, Sibley, Mo.; and Alice Copeland, Buckner, Mo.; daughter Rebecca (Mays) Martin and her husband, Robert Martin, Indep., Mo.; two grandchildren, James Martin, Raymore, Mo.; Linda (Martin) Lee and her husband, Wesley Lee, and great-grandson Kevin Lee, Rockingham, NC.
Visitation will be 6:30 - 8:30m pm, Tuesday, Sept. 28 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep. Mo. Following cremation, Eleanor will be inurned with Clarence at Mound Grove Cemetery. Mom and Daddy will always be loved and missed.
