Oren Eugene Mccart

Oren Eugene "Pat� McCart, 80, of Independence, MO, passed away, Monday, April 25, 2005 at Medical Center of Independence. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2005 with full military honors in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday evening at the chapel. Pat was born May 14, 1924 in Independence, Mo to Fred and Neva McCart and was a lifelong resident of Independence. He enlisted in the Navy in 1943 and served during WWII. He worked as a welder for Allis Chalmers for over 30 years retiring in 1980. He enjoyed hunting, (especially turkey hunting), fishing and gardening. He was married to Virginia "Susie�(Sympson) in 1942, she passed away in 1998. Survivors include; a daughter, Kathy Cox and her husband William of Independence, MO; 2 sons, Mike McCart and his wife Wanda St. Joseph, MO and Dennis McCart and his wife Pam of Lakeland, FL; a brother and sister in law Ed and Betty Sympson of Independence, MO; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul G. McCart in 2000.
