Eleanor Rose Mccarthy (Wilson)

Eleanor Rose McCarthy, 78, of Independence, MO passed away May 2, 2017. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Monday, May 8, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. Burial at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Eleanor was born November 4, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to Emmett and Lola (Pennington) Wilson. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Francis McCarthy; and four siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda McCarthy Ohlemeier and husband Doug, Catherine Eib and husband Ron; sons, George McCarthy, Jr., Tim McCarthy and wife Caroline; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Spurlock; and additional nieces, nephews and cousins.
