Pat McCaulla, Sr., 94, of Raytown, Mo passed away March 18, 2018. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, March 23, 2018 at the chapel. Entombment with full Military Honors will follow in Green Lawn Mausoleum. Pat was born on September 9, 1923 in Independence, MO to Willis and Ina (Barnhart) McCaulla. He was a member of the 1940 graduating class at William Chrisman High School. Pat proudly served his country in the Navy during both WWII and Korean Wars. He received the following awards; World War II Victory Medal; American Area; American Defense; Asiatic Pacific Area (11Stars); Good Conduct Medal; Philippine Liberation (2 Stars); Japanese Occupation; Korean Service Medal and a China Service Medal. Pat retired with 32 years of service from Southwestern Bell. Most recently he was an Ambassador at Swope Park Golf Course. Pat was also active with the VFW. He had been Commander of Post 1829 and 4242 as well as Commander of the 4th and 5th districts. Pat served as the past Grand Commander of Missouri and past Supreme Commander of the Military Order of the Cootie. Survivors include; son Patrick McCaulla II; Herbert McCaulla and his wife Joyce; 3 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister Norma McCaulla; nieces Karen and Linda; extended family and many friends. Pat is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Shirley (Chrisco) McCaulla, his parents, brother Boyce, half brother Earl and granddaughter Heather.
