Forest C. McChesney, 91 Kansas City, MO Passed away March 23, 2014. Visitation April 5th at 2:00pm, Services and Masonic Service will follow at 3:00pm, Blue Ridge United Methodist Church, 5055 Blue Ridge Blvd., K.C. MO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ESTARL a charity of Eastern Star. c/o Lois Patten 1706 W Combs Dr. Raymore, MO 64083. Forest was born June 15, 1922 in Kansas City and graduated from Northeast High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1942 during WWII and was a member of the Navy Infantry stationed in North Africa before being sent to take part in the invasion of Sicily under Gen. Patton. He married Delores on April 16, 1950. He worked at Armco Steel for twenty eight years before retiring in 1981. He and his wife owned Windy Corners antique shop in Raytown for 20 years. He was a member of Blue Ridge United Methodist Church. He was a 60-year Mason and was currently a member of Sheffield Masonic Lodge #625. Previously he served as the Worshipful Master in 1980 in the Northeast Masonic Lodge #300. He was also a member of the Ararat Shrine, VFW in Raytown and Swope Park Chapter #520 OES. Forest was preceded by son Thomas McChesney and brother Billy Lewis McChesney. He is Survived by Delores McChesney, of the home; daughter Karen Kemp, Kansas City, MO; Niece Donna McChesney, Peculair MO; grandchildren Michael Kemp and wife Kristen, Lee’s Summit, MO; Ryan McChesney, Chicago, IL; Kynadi Kemp, Kansas City, MO; Chase McChesney and wife Kristin, Blue Springs, MO, and three great grandchildren.
