Thomas McChesney, 60, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Wednesday, June 5th 2013. A visitation will be held from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 10th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 11th at Noland Rd. Baptist Church.
Tom was born October 12th, 1952 near Kansas City to Forrest and Delores McChesney as one of two children. He graduated with a Masters in Business from Baker University. Tom joins his beloved wife of twenty nine years, Teresa (Camp) in heaven. Together, they raised two wonderful boys. He worked for twenty two years at Armco Steel and most recently for eighteen years as a Contract Administrator/ Buyer for DST in Kansas City. He especially loved dancing with his wife, coaching baseball for his sons and other little league teams, and was a devoted Christian at Noland Rd. Baptist serving along side his wife as a Sunday school teacher for many years. Tom was creative with his hands doing woodworking and a talented photographer. He is described as a good neighbor with a servant’s heart. Tom is loved and will surely be missed.
He is survived by sons, Ryan McChesney of Chicago, IL; Chase McChesney and wife Kristin of Aurora, MO; granddaughter Kapri; his parents, and a sister, Karen Kemp.
