Carole LaRaye McClain, 74, Independence, MO went to be with her heavenly father on Friday, October 18, 2013.
Carole was born August 15, 1939 in Cadillac, MI the daughter of James A. and Shirley E. (Johnson) Scott, but lived a majority of her life in Independence, MO. She worked as a CNA and MTA for over 10 years at various nursing homes. Carole was a life long member of the RLDS Church.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jack McClain; daughter, Sherry Leutzinger and husband Rude; son, Jeff Gross and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Jeremy, Brandon, Jeffrey, Rudy, Ashley, and Ammon; great grandchildren, Jordon, Camden, and Trynity, whom she loved more than life itself; also sisters, Pat Cotterell and Nancy Clark; brother, Mike Scott; and additional nieces, nephews, and family. She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Gross; sister, Yvonne Resch; and her parents.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday October 22, 2013 at Mound Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice.
