Charles Kent McClellan, 57, Kansas City, MO passed away Feb. 8, 2016. Memorial services will be at 2:30 pm, Sat., Feb. 13 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; cremation. Visitation will begin at 1:30 pm before the service at the chapel. The family requests contributions to Crossroads Hospice, 14310 East 42nd Street S.,
Unit 600, Marketplace Shopping Center, Independence, MO 64055. Kent was born Aug. 10, 1958 in Gimli, Manitoba, Canada, graduated from Lee’s Summit High School and earned a Bachelors of Business Administration from UMKC. He worked at Harrah’s Casino in North Kansas City. He loved golf, trading stocks, reading, baseball, football and children. He possessed a brilliant mind, a quirky sense of humor and a loving heart. Kent was preceded in death by his parents Foster C. and Aimee P. (Bishop) McClellan and brother Mark McClellan. He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years Michelle McClellan, of the home; sister Rev. Carla McClellan and husband Jim Skinner; brother John McClellan, all of Kansas City, MO; sisters-in-law Victoria Briseno and husband Roger Siebert, Austin, TX; Nicole Briseno and husband Thy Nguyen, St. Louis, MO: nieces Heather Howell; Sofia Nguyen; nephew Nicolas Nguyen; great-nephew Tobias McGuire and father-in-law Paul Briseno
