Wyatt Thomas McCormack, of Harrisonville, MO, a small but mighty warrior who was very strong his whole life, fought his final battle on January 3, 2022. He was 8 months old. Wyatt was born on May 3, 2021 in Overland Park, Kansas to Andrew McCormack and Hailey Boatwright. He was known as “smiley boy,” who loved his parents and enjoyed playing Possum with them. Wyatt loved his rattle toys while snuggling, and never turned down a good back or butt pat. Any chance he had, Wyatt would enjoy a good nap. If you heard his loud snore, you knew he was deep in dreamland! He loved listening to his mom, Hailey sing to him and read him books, and watching hunting videos with his dad, Andrew, while hearing stories of dad and Grandpa Charlie hunting together. Sharing facetime with his Grams was always the highlight of Wyatt’s day. Although Wyatt was a Kansas City native, he was always Pops’ favorite little Dallas Cowboys fan. He was very lovable and was not ashamed of being spoiled, especially by Grandma and Great-Grandpa Alan. Wyatt was very outgoing and had a voice that wanted to be heard. He will always be remembered as a giving little boy and will continue to give the gift of life to others by organ donation, sharing both of his treasured kidneys and all his precious heart valves.
Wyatt is survived by his parents, Hailey Boatwright, and Andrew McCormack; grandparents, Alana (Clifton) Castleman, Jason (Angie) Boatwright, Lori (Buck) O’Rear, and Charles (Mona) McCormack; great-grandparents, Alan Basler, Carol Livingston, Lori McCormack, LaVerne Monsees, Susan Castleman, Delbert (Diana) O’Rear; uncles, Nicholas Patterson, Erik (Stacey) Castleman, and Anthony Castleman; and aunt, McKenzie Boatwright. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Joyce Basler, Marvin and Linda Boatwright, Ron Castleman, John and Patricia McCormack, Charles Kirk, and Carl Kirk and many great uncles.
