Alicia Marie McDanel, 79, Independence, MO passed away at home July 25, 2006. Services will be 2:30 pm, Sat., July 29, 2006 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment at New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Friday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to ICAN (Kelly�s adult daycare for the mentally and physically challenged) at 14300 E. 32nd Street South, Independence, MO 64055.
Alicia was born March 13, 1927 in New Market, IA. She worked at Sears Co. in the accounts dept. for 18 years. For many years she was active with the Eagles Lodge #3717 in Sugar Creek.
Alicia was preceded in death by her husband Robert McDanel. She is survived by daughters Linda Edwards and Sandra Hancox, both of Independence; sister Helen Bass, Red Oak, IA; brother Edwin Jones and wife Lavina, Mound City, MO; grandchildren Angela Hancox; Anthony Hancox and wife Kelly; Kelly Edwards; and great-grandson Keegan Hancox.
