Lueveta J. Lairmore McDaniel, 77 of Independence, MO passed away Tues Aug 10, 2004 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 11:00 am, Sat. Aug 14, 2004 at the George C. Carson Funeral Home. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 - 8:30 pm, Friday at the Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Lueveta was born on July 3, 1927 to Charles and Pearl Kennedy in Noel, MO and had lived in Newton, KS prior to moving to this area in 1959. She had been a Personnel and Training Manager for K-Mart from 1964 until her retirement in 1992. She was a very active member of the American Legion Post 21 Auxiliary and had served as the 2nd Vice-President. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Jerry Lairmore. Lueveta is survived by her husband, Doug McDaniel of Independence. Two sons, David Lairmore and wife Diana of Overland Park, KS and Michael Lairmore and wife Donna of Columbus, OH. Two step sons, Patrick McDaniel and wife Gloria of Buckner, MO and Dennis McDaniel of Independence. Two daughters Carolyn Eastridge and husband, William of Wellington, MO and Jenny Griessel and husband, Dan of Oak Grove, MO. Two step daughters, Cindy Cosner and husband Tim of Lee�s Summit, MO and Judy Wood of Independence, MO. Twenty-two grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. Two brothers, J.C. Kennedy of Lakewood, CA and Vernon Miller of Barnhart, MO. Three sisters, Dorothy Burger of Topton, PA, Charlene Reynolds of Harrisonville, MO and Bonnie Schrag of Newton, KS.
