Marvin Milton McDole, 86, of Independence, MO passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2004 at the Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, with the visitation preceding from 9-10:00 a.m. The burial will be held at Mound Grove Cemetery. Marvin was born on July 1, 1917 in Okanogan, WA to Dana and Emma (Storhow) McDole. He served his country during WWII in the Army Air force, and went on to a 31 year career working as a Field Engineer for IBM. He was a member of the Optimist Club, IBM Quarter Century Club, Blue Ridge Slide Club, Knife & Fork Club and the Supper Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marguerite McDole; and brother, Loren McDole. Marvin is survived by one son, Dana McDole; one daughter, Renee Tidwell; three grandchildren, Marina Munoz, Adrian McDole, and Nicholas McDole; two great grandchildren, Sarah and Jacob Munoz; and one sister, Alice Oltvedt.
