Virginia Mcdonald

Virginia McDonald, 98 of Independence passed away Fri. Oct. 13, 2006 at Carmel Hills Living Center. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Mon. Oct 16, 2006 at Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church of Independence. Mrs. McDonald was born on Dec. 23, 1907 to Frank and Anne (Routon) Kelsey in St. Louis, MO. She had been a salesperson with Wolfe Brothers for many years. Virginia was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing and spending time with family and friends. She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Independence. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Oliver Anthony McDonald and a daughter Betty Fields. Virginia is survived by a daughter, Billy Fields and husband Larry of Independence; a son, Rex McDonald and wife Sonja of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
