Michael Christopher Mcdowell

Michael Christopher McDowell, 21, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, June 28, 2004. Services will be 10 am Friday, July 2nd at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home; with interment in Mound Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 7 to 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Michael was born March 24, 1983 to Stephan Lee McDowell and Heidi Edwards Keith. He attended William Chrisman High School, and recently graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange College while residing with great aunt and uncle Bill and LeAnn Behymer. Michael is survived by his wife, Tauja McDowell of Hannibal, MO; father and stepmother, Steve and Melissa McDowell of Independence, MO; mother and stepfather, Heidi and Jefferson Keith of Lee�s Summit, MO; brother, Joshua McDowell of Independence, MO; half sister, Ashley Keith of Lee�s Summit, MO; stepbrother Bobby Cochran and wife Ashley of Lee�s Summit, MO; step sister, Amanda Cochran of Lee�s Summit, MO; half brothers, and sister, Jonathan, Stephanie, and Harley McDowell, half sister, Jennifer McDowell, of Independence, MO; maternal grandmother, Dolores Hain of Kansas City, MO; grandfather and step grandmother, Gerald and Wilma Edwards of Richmond, MO; paternal grandparents, Marie and Jerry McDowell of Independence, MO; step grandparents, Jacquline and the late John Keith of Buckner, MO, and John and Mary Thompson of Harrison, AR. Several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive him. Michael will be forever remembered to us as the bright, creative, and humorous young man that made us smile and filled our hearts with joy. He was a great example of a perfect son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He will be greatly missed.
