After retirement, he was able to spend his days golfing, traveling, and spending time with his granddaughter, Lucy. He battled lymphoma in 2018 and left this world as a cancer survivor. He will be remembered for keeping everyone on their toes around the card table, watching his beloved KC Chiefs play every Sunday, and being determined to win it big on a night out at the casino.
