Betty Lorene Mcgoffin-Robertson

Betty Lorene McGoffin-Robertson, 78, of Blue Springs, MO passed away September 26, 2019 Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday, September 30, 2019 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 am Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the chapel. Burial will take place in Blue Springs Cemetery. Betty was born on July 29, 1941 in Kansas City, MO to Thomas and Elenor (Eschmeyer) McGoffin. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing Class of 1962. For over 48 years Betty served others as a nurse in the Kansas City area. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital until it closed in 1983. The she worked at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Children’s Mercy Home Care until her retirement in 2011. Betty was born with a servant’s heart. She spent her life doing what she loved, taking care of other, especially children. Betty was greatly loved and will be forever missed. Betty was a Grandmother to many including: Austin Urvina, Kyle Urvina, Annabelle Thompson, Michael Robertson, Ashley Robertson, Kirsten Robertson, Jon and Katarina Robertson, Shawn Robertson, Elizabeth Reimann and Eddie Reimann, Aidan Robertson and Levi Urvina. Other survivors include; Reverend Dr. Charles Robertson known to Betty as Charly”; step children, Dr. Don and Melissa Robertson Kevin and Julie Robertson and Erika Robertson; half-brother Thomas McGoffin; a large extended family, courtesy of Oklahoma, and uncountable friends. Betty is preceded in death by her parents Thomas McGoffin and Elenor Henry. Contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House in Betty’s memory.
