Dr. Charles E. Mcgrath

Dr. Charles Edward McGrath, III 70 of Buckner, MO passed away, Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Donations may be made in his name to City Union Mission. Dr. McGrath was born June 15, 1945 in Virginia to Charles E., Jr. and Violet (McSweeney) McGrath. He was a Doctor of Osteopath and had practiced in Independence, MO since 1989. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with wood and metal. He was a member of the Church of the Santa Fe in Buckner. He is survived by; his wife Jolita of the home; a son, Charles E. McGrath, IV of Chicago., IL; a daughter, Megan Brady of Chicago, IL; 2 step sons, Austin Hall and Joseph Carter both of Kansas City, MO; a step daughter, Shelby Hall of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; a brother, Bill McGrath and 7 grandchildren.
