Jennie Mcilwain

Jennie M. McIlwain, 65, of Blue Springs, MO peacefully passed away on Friday, January 30, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. A memorial visitation will be 2-4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House. Jennie was born March 23, 1943 in Wichita Falls, TX to Ernest and Catherine (Roederer) Collier. She was a schoolteacher for 35 years before retiring from the Independence School District in ’03. Jennie is survived by her son Michael McIlwain; daughter Stephanie Seibert and husband Jerry; granddaughters Katherine and Victoria; sister Thelma Bell and husband Al; brother Howard Collier and wife Sandra. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Vivian Harvey.
