On the morning of December 10, 2021, Sue went with the Lord to Heaven. As they went by Rainbow Bridge, she was met by her numerous pets who all preceded her in death. As she got to Heaven, her immediate family was waiting to welcome her. This included her parents, William (Mac) and Margaret (Marg) McInteer of Manhattan, KS; her sister, Jeanne Hogg of Fort Myers, FL; and her brother, Steve Mclnteer of Manhattan, KS.
Sue was born In Topeka, KS. After the flood of 1951, they moved to Manhattan, KS, where she attended Woodrow Wilson Elementary and Luckey High School where she graduated in 1963. In 1970, she moved to Kansas City MO.
While in high school Sue was involved in many activities including the pep club, cyo, marionettes, choir, safety club, Latin club and plays. She also attended her junior & senior prom and 5O year reunion. She also worked at the camera shop after school.
After graduation Sue went to work at Memorial Hospital as a Patient billing and accounts receivable clerk until 1970. From 1970 to 1992, she worked for Ernst & Young starting as Secretary to the Office Manager to Director of Office Services in Accounting. From 1972-2006, Sue worked for Gilmore and Bell as Business Manager of internal financial operations. From 2006-2021, she was retired.
She loved spending time at Tuttle creek with her parents and many family and friends who joined them. Sue loved watching baseball and football with her dad. She aIso loved drawing and sketching, sewing, embroidery and many other crafty projects. Everyone considered her as outgoing, compassionate, and caring, even though she was going through many storms of her own physically.
Also preceding her in death, are many other family members and friends she met along
the way.
Surviving Sue are two longtime best friends, Nancy Wilson, and Sandi Peterson. AIso a
special niece, Christy Graham. There are also numerous other family members and friends.
Sue was cremated per her wishes.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, at 2:00pm at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence, MO. Visitation and refreshments will be at Nancy Wilson’s home after the service.
