Patricia Rose "Pat" Mckenzie

Patricia Rose ”Pat” McKenzie, 79 of Independence, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Independence Manor Care. Cremation is planned with a graveside inurnment service to be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Mt. Washington Cemetery. Patricia was born February 3, 1941 to Howard and Mildred Slater. She grew up in Fairmount, Mo with her mother, step-father and older brother, Mel. She later moved to Raytown, MO and graduated from Raytown High School. Pat was married to John McKenzie and they had two daughters, Dawn and Leigh and lived at 712 Sunset Dr. Independence, MO. Pat worked at GEHA for 27 years before retiring. Pat had 7 grandchildren, Zachary McKenzie, Jed Molt, Emma Molt, Nicole Godsey, Grace Molt, Jim Molt and Jeffrey Molt and 1 great grandchild, Ella Mae Bartshe.
