Leona May Mcmurray

Leona May McMurray, 75 of Independence, passed away Thur. Mar. 18, 2004 at the Medical Center of Independence. Mrs. McMurray was born on May 15, 1928 to Russell and Missouri Belle (Irwin) Highfill, in Kansas City, MO and was a life long area resident. She was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, George McMurray in 1993. She is survived by nine sons, Floyde Highfill of Independence, Russ McMurray of Independence, George McMurray of Belton, MO, Donald McMurray of Grandview, MO, Gene McMurray of Independence, Clifford McMurray of Independence, John McMurray of Arkansas, Richard McMurray of Independence and Allen McMurray of Leavenworth, KS. One daughter, Angelia Riese of Itan, MO. A sister Joyce Beltz of Independence, MO. Twenty-three Grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. Per Leona�s request, no services will be held. Contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
