Patricia Louise Mcnamara (Gilmore)

Patricia L. McNamara, 90 of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 28, 2019 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Entombment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the church. Donations may be made in her name to the Brain Support Network, P.O. Box 7264 Menlo Park, CA 94026 or at www.brainsupportnetwork.org Patricia was born June 19, 1928 in Carthage, Mo to Aufrey G. and Dorothy L. (Whisler) Gilmore. She grew up in the Kansas City area and graduated from Westport High School. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed working with stained glass, oil painting, ceramics and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Survivors include; her husband, Jerome B. McNamara of the home; 3 daughters, Constance Maxwell, Sandra Davidson and Malinda Shepherd and husband Gary all of Independence, MO; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Mary C. Stegeman and Billie Jean Phillips.
