Anastisia (Shane) McVey, 81 of Kansas City, MO passed away Sat. Nov. 3, 2012 at her home. Services will be 11:00 am, Wed. Nov 7, 2012 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. MO, with the visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Burial in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Mrs. McVey was born on June 17, 1931 to Harold and Ella (DuBois) Shane in Kansas City, MO. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed caring for her family. She loved going to the Casinos, doing yard work and was very much a people person. She was a volunteer with the Benjamin Harrison School PTA and was on the Board of Directors for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Trustee of the Eagles FOE 3717 and Past President of the North Blue Ridge Neighborhood Association. Ann was preceded in death by a son Joseph McVey, a grandson Ross Roark and a sister Barbara Neuman. She is survived by her husband, Gene McVey of Kansas City, a daughter, Marsha Roark and husband Dave of Kansas City, MO. A brother, Pete Shane and wife Janis of Lee’s Summit, MO. Sister in law and brother in law, Sue and Charles Justice and sister in law Laura Conway. Three grandchildren, Jodi Roark, Rene Sullivan and David Roark. Six great grandsons and two special great granddaughters, Kyra Rivera and Kailee Rivera and by numerous nieces and nephews.
