Lois Meany, 84 of Independence, Missouri died Thursday, December 19th, 2013. Visitation for Family and Friends will be held at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 West Lexington, Independence, Missouri on Sunday, December 29th, 2 – 4 pm. Graveside Services will be held at the Leavenworth National Cemetery on Monday, December 30th @ 11am.


Lois was born in Carrollton, Missouri and lived in Sugar Creek/ Independence for the past 60 years. She retired from the State of Missouri in 1992 and her interests included Bowling, Cards and Traveling. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Earl and Helen Reynolds, her husband, Francis J Meany, a sister, Adeline Aholt, and a brother Jack Reynolds. Her surviving family members include two daughters, Vicky Stewart of Barnesville, Georgia and Anne Amtmann of Sharpsburg, Georgia and a son, Michael Meany of Independence, Missouri, 5 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
