Anna Belle Medley, 100, Independence, MO passed away April 11, 2016. Services will be 2 pm, Thursday, at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052; interment at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 pm before the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Gentiva Hospice, 4911 S. Arrowhead Drive, Independence, MO 64055. Anna Belle was born May 22, 1915 in St. Joseph, MO and graduated from Benton High School there. During WW II she worked at the North American Fairfax plant building B-25’s. She was an Avon Lady for over fifty-five years and continued serving her customers until 2015. She was a charter member of Carlisle Baptist Church and once had been the Sunday school teacher for the young married women’s class. She enjoyed bowling and yard work in her younger years and was a huge Royals fan. She celebrated her 100th birthday at the Royals game and was recognized by the team at the game. Anna Belle was preceded in death by her husband R. Lyle Medley and five siblings. She is survived by sons Robert Turley and wife Sylvia, Bella Vista, AR; Ron Turley and wife Vicki, Lee’s Summit, MO; daughters Peggy Pair and husband Rodney, Independence, MO; Karen Pulver and husband Dave, Rowlette, TX; twelve grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren
