Michael  Allen Megee

Michael A. Megee, 29, Independence, MO passed away Dec. 27, 2015. A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at 1 pm, Sat., Jan. 2 at Maywood Baptist Church, 10505 E. Winner Rd., Independence, MO 64052. The family requests contributions to Maywood Baptist Church. Michael was born May 23, 1986 in Independence, MO and graduated from Truman High School in 2004. He had just earned an Associates Degree at Metropolitan Community College and had begun studies in computer science at UMKC. His passions were computer programming and music. He was also a connoisseur of coffee and all things caffeine. He possessed a very unique laugh, had a thirst for knowledge and an eagerness to share. Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Dr. Rolla Pennell, Ina Pennell and Ila Calton; paternal grandparents Wilson & Anna Mae Megee. He is survived by his mother Dr. Lana Pennell, Independence, MO; father Mayor Marvin Megee and wife Ruthie, Greenwood, MO; sisters Hayley Grace Pennell, Smyrna, GA; Jacqueline Megee and Dominique Megee, both of Greenwood, MO; aunts Mara Pennell, Sandy Park, both of Signal Hill, CA; Tereca Megee, Lewistown, MO and many other family members and friends.
