Nancy Jean Melson (Taylor)

Nancy Jean (Taylor) Melson, 75, of Raymore, MO, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021.

Our world is sparkling just a little bit less, our family feeling just a little smaller, we lost our Nana this week, the most incredible woman we've ever known. She left a light everywhere she went, not a person who met her could help but love her, her sparkle was infectious. She was always so vibrant, her smile contagious, and her love of life evident in everything she did. Her loss will be felt in all of our hearts, but she wouldn't want us to dwell on the sadness, that wasn't her style. Instead, she'd expect us to celebrate with a cocktail, a plate of tacos, and a brownie the most magical Nana in the entire world. And of course, to document it all with 1,000 priceless pictures.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Mark Melson; daughters, Traci (Michael) Brown, Terri (Bryan) Harrel; grandchildren, McKenzie (Brittany) Hale, Austin Brown, Connor Harrel, Chloe Harrel; Great Grandson, Finnegan Hale; sister, Tina (Rob) White.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack, and Betty (Brown) Taylor.

Cremation is planned with a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, November 20th, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Be Free Family Farm, 11301 E 139th Street, Kansas City, MO 64149.
