Beverly "Lover" C. Metzger

Beverly Metzger, 57, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family on June 29, 2017. A visitation will be held from 12-2:00 p.m., followed by a 2:00 p.m. service on Monday, July 3, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Beverly Metzger Fund, C/O City Credit Union, 2550 291 Hwy, Independence, MO 64057. Bev loved spending time with her three dogs, Nena, Carlee and Bernie, as well as her cat Mulan. She had a passion for fishing. Beverly will always be remembered for her generosity, and when meeting someone for the first time, she became friends instantly. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Otto Metzger and Beverly Cookson; and her step father, Grant Cookson. She is survived by her partner, Shalisa Pierce of the home; brother, Doug (Sheila) Metzger; sister, Julie (Dale) Sams; niece, Jessica (Chris) Cox; nephews, Cole (Tara) Metzger and Dale Sams; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
