Anthony David Meunier, 39, of Independence, died suddenly on the morning of February 8th in a fatal semi-truck crash on I-70. A Celebration of Anthony’s Life will be held at 2 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO.
Anthony was born in Overland Park, KS, and grew up in Lee’s Summit, MO. He had been a driver for KMB Delivery for the past 3 years. Two weeks ago, he and his fiancée bought a new home in Oak Grove and he was the happiest he’s ever been. Anthony was very excited about beginning the next chapter in his life. He loved spending time with his two best friends and forever brothers, Andrew Martel and Jon Reeves. His favorite things to do included bowling, going to the boat and playing golf.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father David J. Meunier; grandfathers, Lonnie Carroll and George Russell. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Meunier-Muenks & step-father, Doug Muenks, Independence; step-mother, Marcia Meunier, Egg Harbor Township; sister, Angela Meunier-Meier, Independence; fiancée, Cheryl Ellison and her 2 children, Mira & Sterling, Sedalia; grandparents, Marie Carroll, Lee’s Summit, Patricia Russell, Mays Landing, Judy & Emil Spears, Jefferson City and Dave Muenks, Lee’s Summit; uncle, Robert Meunier, Mays Landing; aunts, Christine Sykes, Egg Harbor Township and Patti Stocker, Somers Point; cousins, Robert and LeighAnne Meunier & several others.
