Wanda Michalek, 87 passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday September 25, 2012 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, MO. Visitation will be from 9:00-10 a.m. prior to the service. Interment at Snodgrass Union Cemetery, Deepwater Township, MO.
Wanda was born in Lawrence, KS to James and Ruth (Norvell) Coakley Moles. She attended Westport High School. Wanda was a talented artist who was skilled at working with her hands. She spent many years as a manicurist on Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza. Her hobbies and interests included tropical fish, dogs, and reading western novels. She was known for her outstanding roller skating abilities. Wanda’s family will always remember her for her artistic talent and the love they all shared.
Wanda is survived by her sons, Sandy Seaba and wife Debbie of Bonner Springs, KS; Gary Seaba and wife Karen of Independence, MO; daughters, Lureta Robertson and husband David of Excelsior Springs, MO; Donnetta Lowther and husband Jerry of Lake Tapawingo, MO; half sister, JoAnne Farmer of Elizabeth, AR; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
