Carol L. Millard

Carol L. Millard, 58, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Truman Medical Center Lakewood. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 4, 2006 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday at the East Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Mexico, MO. Carol was born March 19, 1947 in Mexico, MO to Leonard Carl and Lucile (Forbis) Squiers. She grew up in Mexico and graduated from Mexico High School. She worked for the Millard Insurance Agency Inc. for 33 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Independence. She was also a member of the Englewood Business Association, Missouri Agents Association, P.I.A Association and the American Business Women�s Association and was a Certified Insurance Counselor. She was married to LeRoy L. Millard on February 2, 2001, he survives of the home. Other survivors include; a son, Darrell Kempker of Ventura, CA; a daughter, Donna Kempker of Raytown, MO; a brother, Donald Squiers of Warsaw, MO; a step son, Thad Millard of Shawnee, KS; a step daughter, Tracy Owens of Woodland Hills, CA; a brother and sister in law, Vera and Bob Coyle of Shawnee, KS and 2 grandchildren, Audrey Millard and Davis Millard. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice.
