Alice Marie Miller (Koger)

Alice (Koger) Miller, 84, of rural Sibley, was born May 30, 1938, daughter of Jesse and Grace (Woods) Koger. Surrounded by family Alice departed this life Friday June 17, 2022, at North Kansas City Hospice House. Alice was united in marriage to Virgil Miller in 1967. They enjoyed 50 years together. Alice worked at several jobs including Allis Chalmers. She co-owned a laundromat with her husband and a variety store with her sister. Alice loved planting flowers and growing a garden. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 9 brothers and sisters. Alice is survived by her 3 children, James (Illa) Burk of Sibley, Virgil (Lisa) Miller Jr. of Independence and Jeannette (Dale) Miller-Brooker of Sibley; 4 grandkids, Angela Gerken, Brian (Amy) Burk, Chelsea (Ricky) Mullen and Allison Miller-Brooker; 9 great grandkids, Shaianne Gerken, David Gerken, Makhilla Gerken, Breanna Gerken, Alyssa(Aaron) Winter, Molly Burk, Vance Dowell, Austin Caudill and baby JaNae; 1 sister Betty Kelley of Lathrop; plus many nieces and nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life to honor Alice will be held on Saturday, July 2, at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ Missionary Restoration Branch of Buckner, 3415 N.
