Ilene Miller

Ilene Miller, 75, of Grain Valley, MO passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014. A visitation will be held 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
Ilene was born September 11, 1938 in Independence, MO to Ruth Ellen (Peel) and Harry M. Henderson, Sr. as one of three children. She graduated from William Chrisman High School. She later married and raised two children on her own. Ilene was a tax preparer for H&R Block for many years before working for herself until retirement. She enjoyed bowling on the local teams but was passionate about horsemanship and riding. Her family remembers her as independent with a strong will with a fun and feisty personality.
Ilene is survived by daughter, Debbie Halastik; son, Barry Miller and wife Janet, all of Grain Valley, MO; brother, Harry Henderson, Jr. and wife Helen of Sugar Creek, MO; grandchildren Mark Wayne and Corey Halastik, Cobey, Jordan Douglas, Michael Austin, and Taylor Dawn Miller; and one great grandchild, Rylen Douglas Miller.
