Jerry Wayne Miller

Jerry Wayne Miller, 60 of Independence, MO formerly of Mercer, MO passed away Fri. Dec 8, 2006 at the Golden Living Center of Independence. Graveside services with full military honors will be 2:00 pm, Wed. Dec. 13, 2006 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO with Elder Fred Clark officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions to a charity of choice. Mr. Miller was born on Dec 22, 1945 to Emery and Clara (Clark) Miller in Kansas City, MO. Jerry was a loving son, brother and friend who enjoyed doing farm work and taking care of his horses, which was his passion and his dogs. Serving in the US Army, Jerry fought and was wounded for his country during the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the VFW. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, a brother, John and a sister Linda. He is survived by his mother, Clara Helen Miller of Independence. Two brothers, Jack Miller and wife Gloria of Braymer, MO and Don Miller of Independence, MO. Two sisters, Darla Spears and husband Bill of Independence and Carol Waguespack and husband Guy of Metairie, LA. Special friends, Jim & Shelly Holt of Harris, MO, Justin Porter of Mercer, MO, Max Imberi of Harris, MO and by several nieces, nephews and a special cousin, Bernie Martin.
