JUANITA “TOOTS” MILLER
Juanita B. Creager Miller, fondly known by friends and family as “Toots” departed this life on April 4, 2018. Juanita was born July 31, 1933 in Lee’s Summit, MO., one of six children born to Sarah Violet (Fann) and Luther Linus Arnold. She graduated from Peculiar High School in 1951 and later attended Central Business College, Kansas City. Juanita married Everett (Bud) Creager in 1954, and settled in Independence, MO., adopting their daughter, Joy Lynne Creager in 1960. Her Daughter, Joy Lynne, was the light of her life. Juanita divorced Everett Creager in 1973, later marrying Thomas Miller on November 1, 1995.
Toots moved from her home of 57 years in Independence to Clinton, MO. to be near family. Toots was an inspiration to all who knew her, bravely battling cancer for 14 years until going home to the lord April 4, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Violet Arnold, brother, Luther Charles Arnold and wife, Lois Arnold, brother-in-law Bert Morgan, husband, Thomas Miller, and grandson, Nevin Archer.
She is survived by her daughter Joy Lynne Creager and companion Don Stripling, her Brother Bob Arnold and wife Phyllis of Cabot, Arkansas, brother Eddy Arnold and Kim of Texas, sisters Violet Morgan of Independence, and Judy Sapp and husband Norman of Montrose, MO. She is survived by three step children, Tom & Marty Miller, Texas; John & Debbie Miller, Oak Grove, MO. and Connie & Mark Chapman, Bates City, MO. along with nephews, nieces and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel at 2:00 Saturday, April 7, 2018, 18020 E 39th St, Independence, MO., 64055. Memorial Contributions- Hospice Compassus, Osceola, Mo.
