Lillian M. Miller, 91, of Independence, MO, passed away Monday, June 25, 2007 at Rosewood Health Center. Lillian was born in Disley Saskatchewan, Canada on April 7, 1916 to Joshua and Mary Louisa (Cottrill) Dobson. She was married to Everette Miller on May 1, 1935. Her husband passed away in 1958. After receiving her high school and college degrees, she moved to Independence, MO in 1964. She was a member of the Community of Christ, Cornerstone Congregation. She retired in 1988 from Resthaven Nursing Home as an accountant after 19 years of service. She was preceded in death by a son, Dorrin, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by; a son, Marvin Miller and his wife Louise of Topeka, KS; 2 daughters, Maralin Weide and husband Jack of Glenwood, IA and Gaylene Halsey of Independence, MO; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel followed by a graveside service at 4:30 p.m., Thursday at the Stanton Cemetery near Rantoul, KS. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to Hope House, Meals on Wheels or to Outreach International.
