Woneta Charlene Miller, 62, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, September 02, 2003 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Services will be 7 pm Friday, September 5th at Speaks Suburban Chapel; with visitation Friday from 5 pm until service time. A graveside service will be 10:30 am Saturday at Mound Grove Cemetery, with a funeral procession leaving from Speaks Chapel at 10 am. Woneta was born October 1, 1940 in Jackson County, MO to William Calvin Triplet and Ennis White Triplet. She was a 1958 graduate of Blue Springs High School, and a graduate of the Hamilton Business College. She was active volunteer in Scout Troops #233 and #203, the Independence Beatification Committee, and received a lifetime achievement award from the Independence Neighborhood Council. She was a member of the Community of Christ. Woneta was preceded in death by her parents, grandmother, Bertha White, 3 grandchildren, and is survived by her husband of 45 years, Charles D. Miller, Sr.; children, Deborah C. Witkowski, Charles D. Miller, Jr. both of Independence, MO, W. Darlene Sappenfield and husband Michael of Buckner, MO, Barbara L. Jones and husband Brian of Sugar Creek, MO; 8 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 5 brothers, 3 sisters, Catherine Kauffman of Independence, MO, Calvin Triplet and wife Susie of Ottawa, KS, Caroline Sappenfield and husband Frank of Independence, MO, Carl Triplet and wife Marge of Independence, MO, Bud Triplet and wife Louise of Blue Springs, MO, Cheryl Thornhill of Independence, MO, Willie Triplet and wife Charlene of Mountain Home, AR, and Wayne Triplet of Lee�s Summit, MO; 2 Aunts, and numerous cousins; mother-in-law, Dorothy Plybon of Warsaw, MO; 8 sisters-in-law; 2 brothers-in-law; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
