Frances Mink

Frances M. Mink, 87, Independence, MO, formerly of Memphis, TN, passed away Sept. 22, 2007. Services will be 2 pm, Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Private entombment will follow at Memorial Park, Memphis, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Memphis Food Bank.
Frances was born April 27, 1920 in Moline, IL. She and her husband lived in Memphis for 33 years and she worked for the Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division for ten years. In 1984, she moved to Independence to help care for her aging parents. She was a member of the Remnant Branch RLDS Church and a member of the Red Hat Society of Independence.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, W. Wayne Mink in 1982. She is survived by sons Michael W. Mink and wife Leslie, Alexandria, VA; Patrick J. Mink and wife Susan, Oak Grove, LA; sisters Marilyn Kline, Independence, MO; Wanda Lee Yarbrough, Colorado; brothers Chuck Vann, Florida; Buddy Vann, Tennessee; grandchildren Wayne Mink and wife Jen, Memphis, TN; Jason Mink and wife Jennifer, Olive Branch, MS; Jennifer Head and husband James, Killeen, TX; Chase Mink; Kadee Thames, both of Oak Grove, LA; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
