Barbie Maria Moananu, 78, of Independence MO, passed away on 12/31/2021.
Barbie is predeceased by her parents, Toli & Feseeta’i Fuimaono, her husband Epaferoti Moananu, siblings: Lafitaga Fuimaono, Fusipala Fuimaono, Tuitoga Vaoifi, Toli Fuimaono, Fusipala Fuimaono & Failelei Saupo.
She is survived by her 3 sisters, Lena Wiley, Peiu Piutau, Vaisa Ilaoa; her children, Maeson & Lima Moananu, Michael & Kelley Moananu, Monalissa Moananu, Feseeta’i Moananu, Vea & Desiree Moananu, Marlena & Eric Johnston, Machelle Moananu, Misty Moananu & McKance Moananu. She’s also survived by her 29 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service to honor Barbie will be held on Saturday, January 8, at 11:30 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 705 W. Walnut St., Independence, MO 64050. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Independence, MO.
