Mary Jane Mobley, 73, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 at KU Medical Center due to complications from surgery. Mary Jane was born on January 29, 1937 near Napoleon, MO to Mr. and Mrs. George L. Prock, Sr.. She graduated from North East High School in Kansas City, MO in 1955 and then began her professional career. Mary Jane did administrative work at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, St. Margaret’s Hospital, Quincy Research Center, and TevaNeuro Science, retiring in 2008. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Robert Thomas Mobley. She leaves behind those to cherish her memory, her children: Ben Bryan Mobley, Sr. of Bartlett, TN, Suzanne Spoon and husband John and Leigh Ann Mobley all of Independence, MO; grandchildren: Melissa and Bryan Norman, Tiffany Spoon, Johnnie Lee Spoon, Jessica Mobley, Ben Bryan Mobley, Jr., Adam Mobley; three great grand children: Nathan, Natalie, and Brodie; brother and sister-in-law George L and Mary Jo Prock, Jr. of Kansas City, KS; sister and brother-in-law Sally and Ted Green of Atlanta, GA; nine nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and many friends. A memorial visitation will be from 1-2:00 PM Sunday, October 17 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence. Memorial Services will begin at 2:00 PM Sunday at the Chapel; inurnment to follow services at Machpelah Cemetery, Lexington, MO.
