Rachel Ellen Moeller

Rachel Ellen Moeller, 89, passed away peacefully on March 5th at Lenoir Woods Health Care Center in Columbia, MO. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, Independence, MO. The service will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel. A graveside service is to be held 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8, at Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, MO. Ms. Moeller was born on August 30, 1916 in Avalon, MO to Charles and Beatrice Wilson. She graduated from Avalon High School and the Chillicothe Business College. She retired as an office manager with John Hancock Insurance Co. in 1976. Ms. Moeller was a member of the Blue Ridge Blvd. Christian Church in Independence, MO where she resided until 2000. She is survived by one son, Stephen Moeller of Columbia, MO; two grandsons, Bryan Moeller of Odessa, MO and Eric Moeller of Centerview, MO; as well as four great grandchildren.
