Bettie Mohn

Bettie Mohn, 85, formerly of Independence, MO, passed away November 5, 2013 at Centerpoint Medical Center. A visitation will take place from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Bettie was born January 10, 1928 in Kansas City, MO to Frank and Louisa (Meyer) Carter. She graduated from East High School. Bettie was passionate about music and sang in various country western bands until her passing. She was a member of the Christian Church in Donna, TX. Bettie was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Eugene Mohn; sister, Billie Peery; two brothers, Dale and Donald Carter; and infant granddaughter, Rebecca Lee Trimble. She is survived by her children, Karen Heflin and husband Henry, Bill Mohn, Mike Mohn and Patty Cromley and husband Herb; eighteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
