Raymond Monheiser, 84, of Blue Springs, MO passed August 5, 2019, due to complications from lung cancer. He passed peacefully surrounded by family and his wife Bonnie Monheiser. A visitation will be held from 1-2:00 p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. Burial at Blue Springs Cemetery. Ray was born on August 9, 1934, in Atwood, Colorado. He married Bonnie in 1966 in Lincoln, NE. They moved to Blue Springs, MO with their children Mark, Randi, Yvonne, and Ami in 1971. While living in Blue Springs, he served as a Regional Sales Director for the National Western Life Insurance Company. In his retirement, he started his own underground sprinkler business, Premier Custom Rainmakers, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Ray was preceded his father John, mother Mary Kloberdanz, siblings Albert Monheiser, Lawrence (Shorty) Monheiser, Irene Lauer, Caroline King, and sisters-in-law Vivian Monheiser and Cheryl Monheiser. Ray is survived by his wife Bonnie, children Dr. Mark Monheiser, Randi Barelmann, Yvonne Acree, Ami Jenkins, Lynn Depuy and RaeAn Waldheim, his siblings Kenny Monheiser, Rosemary Piel, Edna Kippes, and Dorthy (Dottie) Stieb, and brothers-in-law Shorty Stieb, Jim Kippes, and Arnie Piel. Ray passed and will be buried on the same month and day as his mother Mary did in 1978. He will be laid to rest on his birthday. Ray’s surviving loved ones are incredibly grateful for the love and support shown in this difficult time. We’ve been blessed to share in a lifetime of happiness and confident his spirit will live on through the invaluable lessons and innumerable laughs we shared.
