Gary was born June 15, 1957 in Kansas City, MO to Frederick “Jim” and Loretta (Marek) Monnig. His father preceded him in death. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Kathi (Andersen) Monnig; four sons, Greg Monnig (Jennifer), Justin Schilling (Stephanie), Gary Monnig (Connie), and Matthew Schilling; mother, Loretta Monnig; two sisters, Susan Xouris and Karen Crain; as well as 11 grandchildren.
