Raul Montes

Raul Montes, 88, of Independence, MO passed away peacefully on February 19, 2017. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Friday, February 24, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO. The family will have a private graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery. Raul was born October 12, 1928 in Kansas City, KS, but was a resident of Independence, MO from an early age. He worked as a meat cutter. Raul loved to play golf with his friends and family, and on various senior leagues. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Enid Montes in 2013; one sister; and one brother. Raul is survived by his four daughters; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
